EU Policy Briefing Notes
The Institute uses the wealth of expertise and knowledge it gains from monitoring and analysing the European environmental agenda to offer tailored advice, information and training to public sector and public interest organisations to help them respond to the ever-evolving environmental policy landscape.
We currently provide an EU Advisory Service to the UK's statutory independent nature and landscape conservation agencies - the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), Natural England (NE), Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) and the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW). We also provide an advisory service to the government of the Brussels Region in Belgium. The Institute has previously held similar contracts with organisations including the Environment Agency for England and Wales, English Heritage and the Danish Council for Nature.
Advice under these contracts is tailored to the needs of each organisation and can include, for example, weekly policy briefings, policy papers, updates on the EU presidencies, alerts to new official EU documents and responses to specific one-off enquiries or requests for more in-depth pieces of research.
If you are interested in learning more about what IEEP's EU advisory services could do for your organisation, please contact Emma Watkins.
